As a freelance writer, it is obvious that you need some skills in writing. But it is not just about being able to string a sentence together. Writing a blog post is completely different to writing a product description. Or being able to put together an eBook.

So this month I focused on some basic “how to” posts, based on the most frequently asked questions.

And let’s not forget about the amazing Guest Post of the Month from the lovely Sarah Easley:

Such a great combination of posts this month to help any fledgling freelance writers out there!

Sarah’s post is especially well worth a read. She has some fantastic advice on where to source the RIGHT help to launch your dream business.

This month has been HECTIC! I know I seem to say that every month, but this month has been even CRAZIER then normal. I think it is because I had so much time off for our amazing UK trip. Now I am pushing hard to pick up clients again (new and old), as well as create 2 courses to be released in January, working my regular nursing shifts. And oh yeah, let us not forget my 2 energetic kids!

Although it has been busy, I am really enjoying writing again. I lost that passion for a little bit there. I was struggling to find motivation. But after a great holiday and some time away I am full of ideas and am smashing out work! It is fantastic!

So what am I working on over the next few months?

  • Content calendars for the next few months.
  • A new look Instagram feed.
  • A free crash course on “How to be a Freelance Writer”.
  • A more in depth course on “How to be a Freelance Writer”. This will be jam packed full of information, checklists, worksheets, templates and so much more!
  • Keep an eye out for the “12 rules of freelance writing” series I will be posting (think 12 days of Christmas!). The first one will be on the 12th of December!
  • I am also working on 2 (yes 2) new websites! I will let you know the launch dates when I know what they are!
  • I am making huge progress on my novels.

Goodness! No wonder this month has been crazy busy!

I would love to hear what you have been working on. Drop it in the comments below.
